FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
No, the Gel SD Lyte series is designed for everyday casual wear and lacks the high-level impact protection needed for long-distance running.
How do I determine my size?
The sizes provided are in UK sizing. It is recommended to compare them with your existing sneakers or use a standard measurement guide to ensure the best fit.
Are these shoes machine washable?
We recommend hand cleaning with a damp cloth. Machine washing can damage the adhesives and the integrity of the Gel cushioning.
Do the shoes run true to size?
Generally, Asics trainers run true to standard athletic sizing, but preferences for width can vary. If you are between sizes, consider a half-size up.
Can I replace the insoles?
Yes, the insoles are typically removable, allowing you to insert custom orthotics if you require specific arch support.
Troubleshooting
Laces constantly coming untied
Use a double knot or replace the laces with textured athletic-style laces to increase grip.
Creasing in the toe box area
Use a shoe tree when not in use to help the material maintain its shape.
Accumulation of dust or lint
Use a lint roller or a dry, soft-bristled shoe brush to gently clear debris from the fabric surfaces.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Asics Gel SD Lyte trainers remain in top condition, follow these simple guidelines:
- Break-in Period: Wear them for short durations for the first few days to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt. For deeper stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid submerging them in water or putting them in a washing machine.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading and material degradation.
- Lacing: Adjust the laces evenly from the bottom up to ensure the tongue remains centered and the pressure is distributed comfortably across the bridge of your foot.
