Product Information

Full details

The Casio G-SHOCK Bold Camo Series (GA-700CMG-3AER) is designed for fashion-conscious individuals who value rugged durability and streetwear aesthetics. It offers a commanding presence with its 52mm oversized case and distinct gold-accented camouflage pattern, making it a perfect statement accessory for everyday wear. A notable caveat for potential buyers is the large physical footprint, which may feel substantial on smaller wrists, so it is best suited for those who prefer a bold, heavy-duty watch profile.

FAQs

Is this watch suitable for deep-sea diving?

While it is water-resistant up to 200 meters, it is designed for surface water sports and swimming, not professional saturation diving.

Can I replace the strap myself?

Yes, the strap is replaceable, but it is recommended to use authentic G-SHOCK replacement parts to ensure a secure fit.

Does the gold finish fade over time?

The vapour deposition is durable, but like any finish, it can be scratched by abrasive surfaces; avoid contact with rough materials.

How do I set the alarm?

Enter the Alarm mode using the mode button, then use the adjust button to set the desired time and toggle the alarm 'On'.

Does this watch have an atomic time-sync feature?

No, this model uses standard quartz timekeeping and requires manual time adjustment.

How heavy is the watch?

The watch is approximately 69 grams, designed to feel substantial but comfortable for all-day wear.

Troubleshooting

Digital display is blank or hard to read

Check if the battery power is low or if the watch is in power-saving mode; replace the battery at an authorized service center.

Analog hands do not match the digital display

Use the hand-shift feature or follow the manual's procedure to calibrate the home position of the hands.

Water inside the watch face

Immediately take the watch to a service center as the water-resistant seal may be compromised.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Striking and unique camo-gold aesthetic
Extremely durable construction for daily wear
200m water resistance allows for swimming and water sports
Versatile digital and analog hybrid timekeeping
High-intensity LED illumination for night visibility

Cons

Large 52mm case may be too bulky for smaller wrists
The complex camo pattern can sometimes reduce dial contrast
Heavier weight compared to standard non-G-SHOCK watches

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the GA-700CMG-3AER involves using the four side buttons to cycle through the timekeeping, alarm, and world time modes. Use the 12/24 hour format toggle to adjust the display to your preference.

Care: Periodically clean the resin band and case with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap to remove sweat, dirt, or dust buildup. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that could degrade the camo print finish.
Battery: The watch uses a standard long-life battery. If the LED light appears dim, this is often the first indicator that the battery requires professional replacement to maintain its water-resistant seal.
Storage: Store the watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the vibrancy of the gold-tone finish and the integrity of the resin.
