FAQs

What is included with the Nuie Arno Vanity Unit?

The unit includes the pre-assembled double-door cabinet and the minimalist vitreous china basin. The tap, waste, and any necessary plumbing fittings are sold separately.

What type of tap should I use?

The basin has one pre-drilled tap hole, designed for a standard single-hole mixer tap. Ensure the tap you choose is compatible with your water pressure system.

How do I clean the bleached oak finish?

Clean the unit with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or scouring pads to prevent damage to the finish.

What are the dimensions of the unit?

The bathroom cabinet dimensions are approximately 800mm (H) x 500mm (W) x 383mm (D). Including the basin, the overall dimensions are approximately 815mm (H) x 500mm (W) x 390mm (D).

Is the vanity unit waterproof?

While the unit is constructed from moisture-resistant materials like MFC, it is not fully waterproof. Avoid prolonged exposure to standing water. Ensure good ventilation in the bathroom.

What is the warranty period?

The Nuie Arno Vanity Unit comes with a five-year guarantee from Nuie Bathrooms, subject to their terms and conditions.

Can I install this unit myself?

The unit comes pre-assembled for easier installation. However, plumbing connections require careful attention. If you are not experienced with plumbing, it is recommended to hire a professional installer.

Troubleshooting

Unit is not stable

Ensure the unit is placed on a level floor. Adjust any levelling feet if present or use shims. Secure to the wall if instructed by the installation manual.

Soft-close hinges are not working correctly

Check for any obstructions preventing the door from closing fully. Ensure the hinges are properly aligned and screwed in place. Contact customer support if the issue persists.

Water is not draining from the basin

Verify that the basin waste is correctly installed and not blocked. Ensure the trap and pipework connected to the waste are clear of debris.

Minor scratches on the finish

For very light scratches, a touch-up pen matching the bleached oak colour might be used. For deeper damage, professional repair or panel replacement may be necessary.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Offers significant storage capacity in a compact footprint.
  • Pre-assembled for a faster and easier installation.
  • Soft-close hinges provide a quieter and more durable operation.

Cons

  • Tap and waste are not included and must be purchased separately.
  • The 500mm width may be too small for very large bathrooms.
  • Requires assembly of the tap and waste fittings, which may require a plumber.

  • The textured woodgrain finish might not suit ultra-modern, high-gloss bathroom styles.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

This vanity unit comes pre-assembled, simplifying the installation process. Ensure the unit is level before securing it to the wall, following standard plumbing practices for connecting the basin to your water supply and waste system. Remember that the tap and waste are not included and must be purchased separately. A single tap hole is pre-drilled in the basin.

Compatibility:

  • Basin: Compatible with standard single-hole mixer taps.
  • Waste: Requires a standard basin waste fitting (not included).
  • Collection: Designed to complement other units within the Nuie Arno collection.

Care:

  • Clean the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the MFC textured woodgrain finish.
  • Wipe the basin with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Periodically check that the unit is stable and all fittings are secure.
