FAQs

Is this a slim fit or regular fit?

This specific model features a regular fit, designed for a comfortable and classic silhouette.

Can I put this shirt in the dryer?

While air drying is best, you can use a tumble dryer on a low-heat setting, though be aware that cotton can shrink if exposed to excessive heat.

What is the material made of?

It is crafted from premium cotton-piqué, a textured weave known for its durability and breathability.

How do I ensure the right size?

Check the garment's size label and compare it against your measurements, keeping in mind this is a regular fit, which runs slightly more generous than slim-fit variants.

Is the logo embroidered or printed?

The iconic pony motif is embroidered directly onto the chest in a high-quality, on-tone thread.

Troubleshooting

Collar losing its crisp shape

Avoid hanging the shirt while damp. Reshape the collar manually after washing and ensure it is fully dry before folding or wearing.

Color fading after multiple washes

Always wash inside out and use a color-safe detergent. Avoid direct sunlight when air-drying to prevent UV damage to the pigments.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-quality, breathable cotton fabric
  • Versatile design pairs well with chinos or jeans
  • Durable construction retains shape through repeated wear
  • Timeless aesthetic appropriate for multiple occasions

Cons

  • Requires proper care to prevent shrinking
  • Regular fit may feel too loose for those preferring a slim profile
  • Cotton-piqué texture is less formal than a button-down dress shirt

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your Polo Ralph Lauren shirt in peak condition, follow these care guidelines:

  1. Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle with like colors using cold water to protect the cotton fibers and prevent color fading.
  2. Drying: Air drying is recommended to maintain the integrity of the fabric and prevent shrinkage. If using a dryer, choose a low-heat setting.
  3. Ironing: Use a medium-heat iron if needed, avoiding direct contact with the embroidered pony logo to prevent damage to the thread.
  4. Storage: Fold the shirt to keep the collar structure intact or hang it on a sturdy hanger to prevent shoulder bumps.
