FAQs
Does this bin require assembly?
No, the SONGMICS 50 L bin arrives fully assembled and is ready for use immediately.
What size bin bags should I use?
The bin is designed to be compatible with standard 50-litre bin bags.
Is the exterior truly fingerprint-resistant?
Yes, the finish is specifically treated to resist fingerprints and smudges, making it easier to maintain a clean appearance.
Can the inner bucket be washed?
Yes, the inner bucket is made of durable materials and can be removed and rinsed with mild soap and water when necessary.
What happens if the soft-close lid stops working?
Usually, this is due to debris in the hinge area. Clean the hinge thoroughly and ensure no packaging materials are stuck in the mechanism.
Troubleshooting
The lid slams shut instead of closing softly.
Check the hinge and damper area for dust or debris; cleaning the mechanism often restores the soft-close functionality.
The pedal feels stiff or does not open the lid fully.
Ensure the bin is sitting on a flat, even surface and that nothing is obstructing the base linkage mechanism.
Difficulty removing the inner bucket.
Ensure the bin liner is not wrapped too tightly around the rim of the inner bucket, which can create suction and increase friction.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up your bin is straightforward: simply remove it from the packaging, ensure the inner bucket is positioned correctly, and insert one of the provided liners. To ensure compatibility, use standard 50-litre bin bags, which should fit securely around the rim of the inner bucket. To maintain the appearance, wipe the exterior down regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemical cleaners, as these may damage the fingerprint-resistant finish. Ensure the lid damper remains clear of debris to maintain the soft-close function.
