Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup (Initial Use)
Upon receiving your dress, gently unpack it. The satin back crepe fabric may have some creases from packaging. Hang the dress immediately on a padded hanger to allow any minor wrinkles to naturally relax. Avoid using wire hangers which can snag the fabric or distort the shape.
Compatibility
This dress is designed to be a standalone elegant piece. It pairs well with delicate jewelry, formal heels or flats, and clutch bags. Consider seamless undergarments to ensure a smooth silhouette, as satin can sometimes highlight lines. For cooler temperatures, a light shawl or elegant jacket can be a suitable addition.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care is crucial to maintain the beauty and longevity of your Satin Back Crepe dress. Always refer to the care label inside the garment for specific instructions.
- Cleaning: Due to the delicate nature of satin back crepe, dry cleaning is generally recommended to preserve the fabric's integrity and finish. If hand washing is an option on the care label, use cold water with a mild detergent specifically for delicate fabrics. Gently agitate the water, do not wring or twist.
- Drying: Lay flat to dry on a clean towel, or hang on a padded hanger, ensuring even distribution of weight. Avoid direct sunlight or high heat, which can damage the fabric.
- Ironing & Steaming: Use a cool iron setting on the reverse side of the fabric, or place a pressing cloth between the iron and the dress to prevent scorching or shine marks. Steaming is often the preferred method for satin to remove wrinkles without direct contact; hold the steamer a few inches away from the fabric.
- Storage: Store the dress in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a padded hanger to prevent shoulder bumps or stretching. Consider using a breathable garment bag to protect it from dust and snags.
