FAQs
Are these pants waterproof?
They feature a discreet internal waterproof layer to contain minor leaks, but they are not fully waterproof like a swim diaper.
Can my child wear these at night?
No, these are designed for daytime training and cannot hold the volume of a full night's sleep.
How many should I buy?
A 3-pack is a great starter set, but many parents find 6-9 pairs ideal to account for multiple accidents throughout the day.
Do I need to use liners with these?
No, these are standalone training pants designed to be worn just like regular underwear.
What is the best way to clean them?
Machine wash at a warm temperature with mild detergent and hang to dry or tumble dry on low.
Troubleshooting
Leaking during use
Ensure the fit is snug around the legs and waist, and remember these are for small dribbles, not full bladder voids.
Absorbency seems to be decreasing
Avoid fabric softeners in your laundry routine, as these residues can clog the absorbent fibers of the cotton core.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Promotes faster learning by allowing wetness sensation
- Soft cotton material is comfortable for active toddlers
- Easy for toddlers to pull on and off independently
- Environmentally friendly and cost-effective compared to disposables
- Attractive animal pattern appeals to children
Cons
- Not intended for heavy soaking or full voids
- Requires more frequent changes than traditional diapers
- Needs regular washing and drying cycles
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Bambino Mio pants, machine wash them in warm water using mild detergent. Avoid using harsh fabric softeners, as these can coat the fibers and reduce the absorbency of the core. The pants are sized for toddlers aged 18-24 months and should fit snugly but comfortably around the waist and legs to prevent side leaks. Ensure they are completely dry before the next use. If you are starting a bulk set, having multiple packs is recommended to ensure you always have a clean pair available after an accident.
