Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper care will significantly extend the life of your Peregrine 16 trainers.
- Break-in: If you are new to a 4mm drop, wear these for short sessions before committing to long runs to allow your calves and Achilles tendons to adapt.
- Cleaning: After muddy runs, remove the insoles and tap out debris. Rinse the outsoles with lukewarm water and a soft brush. Do not use high-heat dryers, as this can damage the structural integrity of the foam and glue.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight, which can degrade the rubber compounds over time.
- Compatibility: These are true-to-size trail trainers. If you use custom orthotics, ensure they fit comfortably over the existing base layer, as the shoe has a performance-oriented fit.
