FAQs

Is the Triumph 24 suitable for flat feet?

Yes, it is a neutral trainer that offers ample cushioning and a stable base, which often accommodates various arch types.

What is the heel-to-toe drop?

The Saucony Triumph 24 features a 10 mm drop, which is standard for traditional road running trainers.

How many miles can I expect from these shoes?

Generally, high-cushioned trainers like the Triumph 24 provide optimal support for 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running style and surface conditions.

Can I use these for gym workouts?

While excellent for walking and running, the plush, high-stack foam may be less stable for heavy weightlifting or lateral-movement-heavy gym classes.

Does this shoe come in wide sizes?

Please check the specific product listing or local retailer availability for width options, as this guide covers the standard fit model.

Troubleshooting

Feeling of pressure on the top of the foot

Try a 'runner's loop' or window lacing technique to relieve tension on the bridge of the foot.

Outsole debris buildup

Use a soft brush or compressed air to dislodge gravel or stones from the tread pattern to maintain traction.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Superior cushioning for high-mileage comfort
Lightweight foam construction reduces fatigue
Durable outsole provides reliable traction
Breathable mesh prevents overheating

Cons

High stack height may feel unstable on technical trails
Not intended for fast-paced speed work or racing
More substantial build than minimalist alternatives

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longest lifespan for your Triumph 24s, consider the following:

Break-in Period: While comfortable out of the box, take them for a few short walks or light runs before committing to a full long-distance effort to let the foam and mesh adapt to your foot.
Cleaning: Hand wash the shoes using cold water and a mild detergent. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can damage the foam and adhesive integrity.
Drying: Air dry only in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources, which can cause the materials to warp or stiffen.
Rotation: If training heavily, alternate between two pairs to allow the midsole foam to fully decompress between runs, extending the overall durability of the cushioning.
