Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Upon receiving your Nike Zoom GT Cut Academy shoes, try them on with the type of socks you typically wear for sports. Walk around and perform some light movements to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. The shoe should feel snug but not restrictive. If sizing feels off, consult Nike's sizing guide or consider exchanging for a different size.
Compatibility
These shoes are explicitly designed for indoor court sports. They are highly compatible with activities such as:
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Badminton
- Pickleball
- Indoor tennis
They are not recommended for outdoor use, running on abrasive surfaces, or general street wear, as this can prematurely wear down the specialized indoor outsole.
Care Instructions
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Nike Zoom GT Academy shoes, follow these care tips:
- Cleaning the Upper: Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap to gently wipe down the synthetic and textile upper. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
- Cleaning the Outsole: For optimal grip, regularly clean the rubber outsole to remove dust and debris. A soft brush and damp cloth work well.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or using heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers), as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Using shoe trees or stuffing with paper can help maintain their shape.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles and air out the shoes. Commercial shoe deodorizers can also be used.
