No, this is specifically designed for internal privacy doors such as bathrooms and toilets and does not offer the security required for exterior doors.
The included deadbolt has a 57mm backset.
Yes, it is designed to be operated with a coin or a flat-head screwdriver in the event of an emergency.
The set includes the thumbturn, the emergency release, and the 75mm deadbolt. You may need a drill or screwdriver for the door modification.
Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away dust. Avoid abrasive materials or heavy cleaning chemicals to preserve the finish.
Check that the door is aligned properly with the frame and that the deadbolt is not catching on the strike plate.
Tighten the mounting screws on the back of the rosette; if the issue persists, check the spindle alignment inside the door.
This set is designed for easy integration into existing door setups. Ensure your door has sufficient thickness to accommodate the 75mm deadbolt mechanism. For installation, measure your current backset to ensure a match with the 57mm requirement.
To maintain the appearance and functionality of the set, wipe the exterior hardware periodically with a soft, damp cloth to remove moisture or dust buildup. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the grey finish over time. Periodically check the screws to ensure the hardware remains tight and flush against the door surface.
