Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Scottish Everlastings Flat-Arm Boucle Chair typically requires minimal setup.
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the chair.
- Attach Legs (if detached): If the wooden legs are separate, align them with the pre-drilled holes in the chair's base and securely fasten them using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are tight and stable before use. > Info needed: Specific assembly instructions if legs are detached.
- Position: Place the chair in your desired indoor location.
Compatibility
- Indoor Use Only: This chair is designed exclusively for indoor environments. Do not use it outdoors or expose it to elements like rain, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Heat Sources: Do not place the chair next to radiators, fireplaces, direct sunlight, or any other significant sources of heat. Prolonged heat exposure can damage the boucle fabric and wooden structure.
- Keep Dry: Protect the chair from moisture. Do not place wet or damp items on the chair, as this may result in staining or damage to the fabric.
Care
Maintaining your boucle chair's appearance and longevity requires specific care:
- Cleaning Spills: In case of spills, act immediately. Gently blot the affected area with a clean, dry, white cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this can spread the stain and damage the fabric. Do not use excessive water or harsh cleaning agents.
- Regular Dusting/Vacuuming: Lightly vacuum the chair regularly using an upholstery attachment with a soft brush to remove dust and debris. This helps prevent dirt from settling into the fabric.
- No Removable Cover: The boucle chair cover cannot be removed for washing or replacing. Attempting to do so may damage the chair and void any warranty.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use strong detergents, chemical cleaners, or abrasive materials on the boucle fabric, as they can discolour or damage it.
- Protection: Consider placing the chair in an area with less direct sunlight to prevent potential fading over time.
- Gentle Handling: Avoid sharp objects that could snag or tear the boucle fabric.
