Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your Pinnacle Radium Road Cycling Shoes, ensure you have the appropriate road cycling cleats (typically 3-bolt type, e.g., Shimano SPD-SL or LOOK KEO, though cleat compatibility should be confirmed by the manufacturer as it's not explicitly stated).
- Attach Cleats: Carefully align your cleats with the pre-drilled holes on the outsole. Adjust their position fore-aft and rotationally to suit your biomechanics and pedaling style. Secure them firmly with the provided bolts, but do not overtighten.
- Initial Fit: Put on your cycling socks and shoes. Use the turn lock mechanism to snug the shoe around your foot. Turn the dial clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to loosen (usually with a pull-release function for quick removal). The touch fastening strap provides additional security and helps to fine-tune the fit across the forefoot.
Compatibility
These are Road Cycling Shoes, implying compatibility with standard 3-bolt road cleat systems. Always verify cleat compatibility before purchase if you have specific cleat requirements. The shoes are designed for unisex adult use.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Radium cycling shoes:
- Cleaning: Clean the synthetic microfibre upper and nylon outsole with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used sparingly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: After cleaning or riding in wet conditions, allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, to prevent material degradation.
