Product Information
Full details
The Salomon Exeo Hiking Shoes are designed for adult female hikers who prioritize comfort and reliable traction on diverse trails. These shoes excel by combining a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane with the responsive support of an EnergyCell midsole, making them an excellent choice for damp or uneven terrain. While they offer robust protection against trail hazards, the structured fit may require a brief break-in period for those transitioning from lighter footwear.

FAQs
Are these shoes machine washable?
No, it is recommended to hand wash them using a soft brush and water to avoid damaging the waterproof membrane and midsole materials.
Can I use these for winter hiking?
While the GORE-TEX offers weather protection, they are not insulated. They are best suited for 3-season hiking.
How should the fit feel?
The SensiFit technology should feel snug and supportive. You should have enough room in the toe box to wiggle your toes.
Does the GORE-TEX liner wear out?
With proper care and cleaning, the membrane will maintain its waterproof capabilities throughout the lifespan of the shoe.
Are these suitable for wide feet?
The SensiFit design offers a performance-oriented, secure fit. If you have very wide feet, you may want to try a half-size up or consider if the snugness is too restrictive.
Troubleshooting
Feeling pressure points around the midfoot
Loosen the laces across the SensiFit zones and re-tie them starting from the bottom to allow the material to adjust to your foot volume.
Water entering the shoe despite GORE-TEX
Ensure debris is not clogging the collar and that you are wearing gaiters if hiking in tall, wet grass, as water can enter through the top of the ankle.
Pros and Cons
Pros

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Salomon Exeo shoes last, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: After muddy hikes, remove loose dirt with a soft brush. Use lukewarm water and a mild soap if needed.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes naturally in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators, as these can damage the GORE-TEX membrane and adhesive bonds.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Compatibility: These shoes work best with mid-weight synthetic or wool hiking socks to optimize the moisture-wicking and comfort properties of the footwear.
