FAQs
Are these suitable for long-distance running?
While these feature quick-dry fabric, they are cotton-based and may not provide the moisture management required for extreme long-distance endurance sports.
Does the 3-pack contain different colors?
Yes, the multicolor pack features a variety of colorways as provided in the specific product variant.
How long is the inseam?
These boxers feature a 6-inch inseam, which provides a classic fit that reaches mid-thigh.
Can I tumble dry these boxers?
Yes, it is recommended to tumble dry on low heat to maintain the integrity of the fabric and the elasticity of the waistband.
What is the primary material used?
These boxers use a specialized cotton blend designed to provide the softness of cotton with the performance benefits of a modern athletic garment.
Troubleshooting
Waistband feels too tight after a few washes
Ensure you are using a low-heat tumble dry setting or air drying; high heat can cause elastic fibers to contract and harden.
Fabric irritation during intense activity
These are cotton-based; for high-intensity, sweat-heavy activities, consider switching to the full polyester 'Tech' series.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Superior softness compared to synthetic-only materials
- 6-inch length provides excellent coverage and reduced friction
- Enhanced stretch for improved range of motion
- Quick-dry properties outperform standard cotton underwear
Cons
- Cotton-based material is less moisture-wicking than full polyester alternatives
- Not intended for extreme high-intensity sports or marathon activities
- Specific waist sizing requires careful measurement for the best fit
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Under Armour Performance Cotton Boxers maintain their shape and comfort, proper care is essential. Always consult the care label on the garment before cleaning.
- Washing: Machine wash cold with like colors to preserve the color vibrancy and fabric elasticity.
- Bleach/Softener: Avoid using chlorine bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the stretch fibers in the waistband and the moisture-wicking properties of the fabric.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to prevent the cotton fibers from shrinking or becoming stiff.
- Compatibility: These are designed for a standard 38-inch waist. Because of the 4-way stretch material, the fit is forgiving, but ensure you follow the manufacturer's sizing guide if you are between sizes to avoid excessive compression or loose fabric.
