Setup, Compatibility & Care
When you receive your 2L potted Lupin, start by acclimating it to its new location. Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. If you are transplanting it into the ground, dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and ensure the soil is loose. For containers, use a high-quality, free-draining potting mix. During the first growing season, keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. In subsequent years, the plant becomes more resilient, though you should still provide extra water during extreme heatwaves or prolonged dry spells. Avoid planting in deep shade, as this will lead to thin growth and few, if any, white spikes.
