Full details
The New Balance 9060 is a stylish, performance-inspired trainer designed for kids who want a blend of heritage aesthetic and modern comfort. By reinterpreting the classic 99X series through a Y2K-inspired lens, these shoes offer significant cushioning and a bold silhouette suitable for everyday wear. One caveat is that the suede material requires careful maintenance to keep the grey finish looking its best over time.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
While the 9060 offers excellent cushioning for daily activities and walking, it is primarily designed as a lifestyle trainer rather than a high-performance running shoe.
How do I clean the suede material?
Use a soft brush to remove dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a dedicated suede cleaner kit and allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from sunlight.
Does the 9060 fit true to size?
Yes, they generally fit true to size, but the sculpted design can feel slightly more snug than traditional flat-soled trainers.
Can the insoles be removed?
Yes, the insoles are removable, which allows for the use of custom orthotics if required.
What is the primary material used?
This specific variant uses premium suede for the upper construction, providing durability and a sophisticated look.
Are these shoes machine washable?
No, machine washing can damage the suede upper and the structure of the midsole. Always clean by hand.
Troubleshooting
Visible scuff marks on suede
Use a specialized suede eraser or a soft suede brush to gently lift and remove surface scuffs.
Shoes feel tight after a long day
Feet can swell during activity; try loosening the laces slightly or ensuring the child is wearing appropriately cushioned socks.
Creasing on the midsole
Minor creasing is normal with foam-based midsoles; store the shoes at room temperature away from direct heat sources to maintain foam integrity.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your New Balance 9060 trainers, begin by ensuring a proper fit; there should be a thumb's width of space between the longest toe and the front of the shoe. Because these trainers feature suede panels, avoid exposing them to heavy rain or muddy conditions. If the shoes become dirty, gently brush the suede with a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud or dust. For stubborn stains, use a dedicated suede cleaner and avoid submerging the shoes in water or putting them in a washing machine, as this can degrade the materials and compromise the shape of the midsole.
