Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Unpack: Carefully remove the curtains from their packaging. You may notice some creases from transit; these will often ease after hanging for a few days, or can be gently steamed (see care instructions).
- Prepare Pole: Ensure your curtain pole is securely mounted above your window. The eyelets are 40mm in diameter, so your pole should have a slightly smaller diameter for a smooth glide.
- Thread Eyelets: Begin threading the eyelets onto the curtain pole, alternating the direction of the fabric folds to achieve an even, undulating drape.
- Position: Once both panels are threaded, center them on the pole and adjust the folds for a uniform and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Ensure the outer edges are positioned against the wall for optimal light blocking and thermal benefits.
Compatibility
These eyelet curtains are designed for use with curtain poles only. They are not compatible with tracks or other hanging systems. Ensure your curtain pole has a diameter that allows the 40mm eyelets to slide freely. Consult the size chart below for recommended pole widths based on curtain panel dimensions:
| Curtain Panel Size (W x D) | Number of Eyelets | Recommended Pole Width |
| :------------------------- | :---------------- | :---------------------- |
| W46 x D54in (117x137cm) | 8 | 90 to 160cm |
| W46 x D72in (117x183cm) | 8 | 90 to 160cm |
| W46 x D90in (117x229cm) | 8 | 90 to 160cm |
| W66 x D54in (168x137cm) | 10 | 140 to 220cm |
| W66 x D72in (168x183cm) | 10 | 140 to 220cm |
| W66 x D90in (168x229cm) | 10 | 140 to 220cm |
| W90 x D72in (229x183cm) | 12 | 180 to 300cm |
| W90 x D90in (229x229cm) | 12 | 180 to 300cm |
| W90 x D108in (229x275cm) | 12 | 180 to 300cm |
*Note: Sizes stated are for each individual curtain panel.* Choose a curtain panel width that is typically 1.5 to 2.5 times your window's width for adequate fullness when closed.
Care Instructions
- Dry clean only: To maintain the quality, color, and thermal properties of your 100% cotton curtains, dry cleaning is the only recommended care method. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, bleach, or iron at high temperatures, as this can damage the fabric and lining. For minor wrinkles, a professional steamer used carefully on a low setting may be applied away from the lining, or allow gravity to naturally smooth them out over time.
