Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. Remove any old sealant or debris.
- Cut the nozzle at an angle to achieve the desired bead size. Pierce the inner seal of the cartridge.
- Load the cartridge into a standard sealant gun.
- Apply a consistent bead of sealant along the joint, holding the gun at a steady angle.
- Smooth the bead immediately using a wet finger, spatula, or smoothing tool for a neat finish.
- Clean up any excess sealant with a damp cloth before it cures.
Compatibility:
This silicone sealant is compatible with a wide range of building materials including:
- Blockwork
- Brick
- Concrete
- Masonry
- Aluminium frames
- Hardwood frames
- uPVC frames
It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Care:
Once cured, the sealant is low maintenance. Clean the sealed area gently with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the cured silicone.
