Product Information

Full details

The Roughneck Internal Corner Trowel is designed for professional plasterers and DIY enthusiasts who require precision finishing on internal 90-degree corners in drywall, stucco, or concrete. Its primary benefit is the purpose-engineered blade angle greater than 90 degrees, which facilitates clean, consistent finishes while minimizing the need for extensive sanding; however, users should note that the tool is specialized for internal corners and will not replace a standard flat trowel for general wall surface work.

FAQs

Can I use this for external corners?

No, this tool is specifically engineered for internal 90-degree corners. Attempting to use it on external corners will not yield the desired finish.

Does the stainless steel rust?

The blade is made from high-quality rust-resistant stainless steel, but it should still be dried thoroughly after cleaning to maintain its condition.

What are the dimensions of the tool?

The trowel measures 127mm x 100mm, or approximately 5 x 4 inches.

Is the handle replaceable?

The handle is securely welded to the blade via a steel rod for durability; it is not designed to be a user-replaceable part.

Will the blade scratch my plaster finish?

The blade corners are specifically rounded to help promote smooth flow and minimize the risk of gouging or scratching the finish.

Troubleshooting

Plaster accumulating on blade corners

Ensure you are cleaning the blade frequently during use and verify that you are not applying too much downward pressure.

Tool feels stiff during use

The controlled flex is designed to be firm; if it feels overly stiff, ensure you are holding the tool at the correct angle to allow the blade to seat properly.
