The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 GTX is designed for adult runners who require a versatile hybrid trainer capable of handling both paved roads and rugged trail terrain. Its primary benefit is the integrated GORE-TEX waterproof layer, which keeps feet dry in unpredictable weather without sacrificing the responsive feel of Nike React foam; however, the structured protective upper may feel slightly stiffer than standard road-only running shoes.

Yes, the GORE-TEX integration provides a high level of waterproof protection against rain, mud, and shallow puddles.
Absolutely. The outsole is designed for hybrid use and feels smooth on paved surfaces.
We recommend choosing your standard Nike running size. Ensure there is about a thumbnail's width of space at the front.
The upper is slightly stiffer than standard mesh models to provide a protective seal, but the React foam maintains excellent flexibility.
The water protection makes them an excellent choice for autumn and winter, though they do not include specialized ice-traction spikes.
The GORE-TEX membrane is designed for moisture protection, which reduces airflow. Wear thinner, moisture-wicking synthetic socks to improve breathability.
Use a stiff-bristled brush to clear debris from the tread pattern after each trail run to maintain optimal traction.
For optimal performance, ensure you have selected your correct UK size for a snug but non-constricting fit. Since the GORE-TEX lining is delicate, avoid using harsh detergents or putting the shoes in the washing machine. To clean, remove loose mud with a soft brush and wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry in a cool, shaded area away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent the GORE-TEX membrane and foam from hardening.
