Product Information

Full details

The Regatta Changing Robe Pro is an essential piece of outdoor gear for active kids who enjoy swimming, surfing, or playing near the water regardless of the forecast. Featuring high-performance ISOTEX STRETCH 20000 fabric and a plush borg fleece lining, it provides a perfect balance of waterproof protection and cozy warmth during transitions between the water and the shore. While it offers excellent thermal regulation, its bulky design means it takes up significant space in a sports bag when packed.

FAQs

Is this robe suitable for machine washing?

Yes, it is machine washable, but we recommend using a gentle cycle and avoiding softeners to protect the technical fabric.

Can my child wear this in heavy rain?

The ISOTEX STRETCH 20000 fabric is highly waterproof and features taped seams, making it well-suited for heavy rain and wind.

How do I choose the right size?

This model is sized for children aged 5-6 (UK sizing). We suggest consulting the Regatta size guide if you are unsure of the specific fit requirements.

Does the hood detach?

No, the hood is fixed to the garment to ensure maximum wind and rain protection.

Is the fabric breathable?

Yes, the ISOTEX fabric is specifically designed to be breathable, allowing perspiration to escape while preventing external water from entering.

Troubleshooting

Water begins to soak through the outer fabric

The waterproof coating may be wearing off. Re-apply a specialist DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray designed for synthetic fabrics.

Fleece lining feels matted or less soft

Gently brush the lining with a soft-bristled brush after washing to lift the pile and restore the loft.

Zippers feel stiff or stuck

Check for sand or grit trapped in the zipper teeth. Clean with a damp cloth and apply a silicone-based zipper lubricant if necessary.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep the robe in top condition, follow these care guidelines:

Washing: Use a gentle cycle with a non-biological detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can degrade the waterproof coating.
Drying: Hang dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the synthetic fibers.
Storage: Ensure the robe is completely dry before folding to prevent mildew growth on the fleece.
Compatibility: The robe is sized specifically for children (UK 5-6); ensure a proper fit by checking the sleeve length so it does not interfere with the child's movement during active play.
