Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Setting up your Hot Tuna Aqua Water Shoes is straightforward:
- Select Correct Size: Ensure you have chosen the appropriate UK child's foot size for a comfortable and secure fit.
- Pull On: Use the convenient pull tab at the heel to easily slide the shoes onto your child's feet.
- Adjust (If Necessary): Ensure the foot is fully seated and comfortable. There are no laces or straps to adjust, making them quick to wear.
Compatibility:
These aqua shoes are highly compatible with a range of water activities and environments:
- Water Environments: Suitable for use in fresh water (lakes, rivers), salt water (oceans, beaches), chlorinated water (pools), and wet, slippery surfaces.
- Foot Protection: Ideal for protecting feet from hot sand, sharp objects (shells, rocks, glass), and uneven terrain.
- Activities: Perfect for swimming, wading, beachcombing, poolside play, water park visits, boating, and light hiking near water.
Care Instructions:
Proper care extends the life of your aqua shoes and maintains their performance:
- Rinse Immediately: After each use, especially in salt water or chlorinated water, rinse the shoes thoroughly with cool, fresh water. This removes salt, chlorine, sand, and debris.
- Gentle Cleaning: If needed, gently scrub any dirt or grime with a soft brush and mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or bleach.
- Air Dry Thoroughly: Crucially, allow the shoes to air dry completely in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or high heat (e.g., radiators, tumble dryer), as this can damage the TPR sole and textile upper.
- Proper Storage: Once completely dry, store the shoes in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Hand washing is recommended to preserve the integrity of the materials and construction.
