Full details

FAQs

How often should I wash the E11 filter?

It is recommended to wash the E11 filter monthly, or more frequently if you vacuum frequently or have pets. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting to prevent damage to the motor.

What is the benefit of the ANTI-TWIST™ technology?

The ANTI-TWIST™ technology features an integrated comb that prevents hair, including pet hair, from wrapping around the brush bar, saving you the hassle of manual removal and maintaining cleaning efficiency.

Can I use this vacuum on delicate rugs?

Yes, you can use the Hoover HL410PT/1 001 on delicate rugs. Use the 'MIN' suction setting and ensure the appropriate floor mode is selected to avoid excessive agitation.

How do I convert the vacuum to handheld mode?

Press the 'PUSH & LIFT' button to release the wand and handle, allowing you to use it as a lightweight handheld vacuum with accessories.

What is the operating radius of this vacuum?

The operating radius is 8.1 meters, providing ample reach for cleaning medium to large-sized rooms without frequently changing power outlets (Note: This refers to corded reach; battery models have different operational durations).

How do I register for the 3-year warranty?

You need to register your product on the Hoover website (hooverdirect.co.uk/pages/warranty) within 30 days of purchase. Terms and conditions apply.

Is the dust bin easy to empty?

Yes, the dust bin features a one-click emptying system for quick and hygienic disposal of collected debris.

Troubleshooting

Reduced suction power

Check if the dust bin is full and empty it. Ensure the filter is clean and dry. Inspect the hose, wand, and floorhead for any blockages. Check the suction control setting.

Brush bar not rotating

Ensure the vacuum is switched on and the correct mode (CARPET/HARD FLOOR) is selected. Check for any tangled debris around the brush bar that might be preventing rotation. Clean the brush bar if necessary.

Vacuum won't turn on

For battery models, ensure the battery is charged and properly installed. For corded models, check the power cord connection and the wall outlet. Refer to the user manual for specific power requirements.

Hair tangles on brush bar despite ANTI-TWIST™

While ANTI-TWIST™ minimizes tangles, some long or thick hair might still wrap. Manually remove any remaining hair from the brush bar. Ensure the comb mechanism is clear.

Filter indicator light is on

The filter needs cleaning. Remove the filter, wash it under cold water, and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Powerful suction for effective cleaning on various floor types.
ANTI-TWIST™ technology significantly reduces brushbar hair tangles.

Lightweight and maneuverable design aids ease of use.
Integrated LED lights help spot hidden dust.

Cons

Noise level of 80 dB can be noticeable during operation.
Battery power source may limit continuous cleaning time for very large areas compared to corded models.

Hose length of 2 m is standard but may limit reach in some scenarios.
Requires registration for the 3-year warranty.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Unpack all components carefully.
Ensure the dust bin is empty and the filter is correctly seated.
Attach any desired accessories.
The vacuum is ready for use. For battery models, ensure it's charged if applicable (this model is corded based on specification, but instructions assume common stick vacuum features).

Compatibility:

Floors: Suitable for all floor types, including carpets, hard floors, and rugs. Use the rocker switch to select 'HARD FLOOR' or 'CARPET' mode for optimal performance.
Accessories: Compatible with the included crevice tool and potentially other Hoover accessories (check product manual for specifics).

Care:

Dust Bin: Empty the 1.5 L dust bin after each use or when full. Press the bin release button for one-click emptying.
Filters: The E11 filter is washable. Remove it from the vacuum, rinse under cold water, and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Refer to the manual for the recommended cleaning frequency.
Brushbar: While ANTI-TWIST™ technology reduces tangles, periodically inspect the brushbar for any debris that may have accumulated.
Storage: Store the vacuum in a dry place. For models with detachable batteries, store the battery separately if required by the manufacturer's guidelines.
