FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
The On Cloudnova Rift Sneakers are primarily designed for everyday movement, walking, and light activities. While they offer responsive cushioning, they are not engineered for high-impact running training.
What is the main benefit of CloudTec® cushioning?
CloudTec® cushioning provides a unique feeling of landing on a cloud, offering soft impact absorption during landings and an explosive take-off for a comfortable and responsive stride.
How do I know if I have the right size?
Refer to the sizing chart provided by the brand, comparing your foot measurement to the UK sizing. It is also recommended to try them on if possible, as fit can be personal. The specific model mentioned is UK size 6.
Can I wear these in wet weather?
While the materials offer some protection, these sneakers are not waterproof. They are best suited for dry to moderately damp conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain.
How should I clean the recycled materials?
Use a damp cloth with mild soap for stubborn marks, then wipe clean with another damp cloth. Avoid machine washing or harsh chemicals to preserve the integrity of the recycled mesh and faux suede.
What does Speedboard® do?
The Speedboard® is an internal plate that works with the CloudTec® elements to enhance energy return and provide a smooth, natural transition from heel to toe during each step.
Are there other color options available?
Yes, the Cloudnova Rift series is available in various colorways and combinations, including Grey/Silver, Silver/White, and other variations of Grey and Silver.
Troubleshooting
Squeaking noise
This can sometimes occur with new shoes. Try wearing them for a few more times, or if persistent, check for any debris inside the shoe or between the sole components. A light dusting of talcum powder inside can sometimes help.
Laces coming undone
Ensure the laces are tied securely with a double knot. If the laces are very smooth, consider replacing them with textured laces for better grip.
Discomfort during initial wear
New shoes may require a short break-in period. Wear them for short durations initially and gradually increase wear time. Ensure you have the correct size and fit.
Reduced cushioning feel over time
The CloudTec® cushioning is designed for durability, but performance can be subtly affected by dirt. Ensure the shoe's outsole and cushioning pods are clean. Avoid exposing the shoes to extreme temperatures which can degrade materials.
