No, the Isabella Metal Bed Frame does not include a mattress. You will need to purchase a standard double mattress separately.
Yes, the frame is suitable for use on carpets, though you may want to use protective pads under the feet if the carpet is deep-pile to prevent the bed from sinking unevenly.
The frame is designed for standard residential use and features a reinforced centre rail; however, it is recommended to follow the specific load-bearing guidelines provided in the physical assembly manual.
While the metal construction is durable, it is best to disassemble the frame or have two people lift it from the corners if you need to move it to prevent stress on the joints.
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to dust the finials regularly. Avoid using water or liquid cleaners directly on the decorative parts to prevent moisture buildup.
Ensure the frame is on a level floor surface and check that all bolts at the joints are fully tightened.
Ensure the plastic slat caps are properly seated into the metal frame and that the slats are inserted with the curve facing upward.
Identify the source of the noise and tighten the corresponding bolts; if metal-on-metal rubbing persists, a small amount of non-greasy lubricant may help.
Setup: The bed arrives in flat-pack form and requires assembly using the included hardware. It is recommended to have two people present to align the frame components securely. Ensure all bolts are tightened uniformly before placing the mattress onto the slats.
Compatibility: This frame is compatible with most standard double mattresses. Because the base uses wooden slats, it is well-suited for both hybrid and foam mattress types as it allows for proper ventilation.
Care: To maintain the finish, wipe the metal frame down with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges that could damage the paint. Periodically check that all structural bolts remain tight, as normal movement can sometimes loosen hardware over months of use.
