Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are tied snugly but not too tightly, allowing for comfortable movement without restricting circulation. Double-knot for security during play.
- Socks: Always wear appropriate football socks to enhance comfort and prevent blisters. Socks with extra padding in key areas can improve the fit.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for TF (Turf) surfaces, which include artificial grass pitches and synthetic playing fields. They are not recommended for use on:
- Natural Grass (FG/AG): The turf outsole will not provide adequate grip and may wear down quickly.
- Indoor Courts (IC): The studs can be too aggressive for smooth indoor surfaces, leading to poor traction and potential damage to the court or boots.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- After Each Use: Remove loose dirt and debris from the upper and outsole using a soft brush or old toothbrush.
- Cleaning the Upper: Wipe the synthetic upper with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a small amount of mild soap diluted in water, then wipe clean with a fresh damp cloth.
- Cleaning the Outsole: Pay attention to the rubber studs, ensuring no mud or artificial turf pellets remain lodged, as this can affect grip.
- Drying: Always air dry your boots at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators), which can damage the synthetic material.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
