Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use & Styling
When first receiving your dress, gently unpack it. Due to its delicate nature, avoid harsh pulling or stretching. Slip into the dress carefully, adjusting the spaghetti straps for your desired fit. Consider a stick-on bra or specialty low-back bra to maintain the elegant line of the dramatic low back design.
Compatibility & Accessories
- Footwear: Ranges from bare feet or flat sandals for casual beach looks to elegant metallic heels for evening events.
- Accessories: Minimal jewelry allows the sequins to be the star. Think delicate necklaces, statement earrings, or wooden bangles for a bohemian touch.
- Layering: A lightweight kimono or sheer cover-up is perfect for cooler evenings or added sun protection.
Product Care
Caring for your sequin and wool dress is crucial for its longevity. Follow these steps to keep it looking its best:
- Hand Wash Only: Fill a basin with cool water and a mild detergent specifically for delicates or wool. Gently submerge the dress and lightly agitate it for a few minutes. Do not wring or twist.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse with cool, clean water until all detergent is removed. Be gentle to avoid damaging sequins.
- Remove Excess Water: Carefully press excess water out of the garment by rolling it in a clean, dry towel. Do not hang when wet, as this can stretch the wool and pull on the sequins.
- Dry Flat: Lay the dress flat on a clean, dry surface or a mesh drying rack. Avoid direct sunlight or high heat, which can damage sequins and wool fibers.
- Storage: Store the dress folded flat in a breathable garment bag to protect sequins from snagging and prevent stretching from hangers. Avoid overcrowding in your closet.
- Avoid: Do not machine wash, tumble dry, bleach, or iron directly on sequins. If necessary, a cool iron on the reverse side of non-sequined fabric can be used with extreme caution.
