Avoid ironing directly on the embroidery. When washing, use a gentle cycle and avoid harsh detergents that could affect the stitching or surrounding fabric.

This jacket uses artificial down, which retains some insulating properties when wet and is typically easier to care for. Natural down often offers a superior warmth-to-weight ratio but requires more careful handling and drying.

Ensure the water-repellent treatment is still active. Consider reapplying a water-repellent spray suitable for polyester blends. Check that all zippers and seams are properly sealed.

Gently redistribute the artificial down padding by hand. If washed, ensure it was tumble-dried on low heat to fluff the fibers.

Check for any fabric caught in the zipper teeth. Gently try to free the fabric. Lubricate the zipper with a graphite pencil or wax if needed.

Some stretching is normal with wear. Minor stretching can sometimes be improved by gentle hand washing and air drying. For significant stretching, professional repair might be considered.
