FAQs

Are these gloves suitable for winter riding?

The Fox Ranger Swarmer Gloves are designed for versatility and breathability; they are best for mild to warm weather rather than extreme cold or snowy conditions.

How do I determine my size?

Consult the manufacturer's size chart by measuring the circumference of your dominant hand just below the knuckles.

Can these be machine washed?

We recommend hand washing to preserve the life of the suede palm; machine washing may cause premature wear.

Do they provide impact protection?

These gloves offer basic abrasion resistance but do not contain hard-shell armor for high-impact protection.

Is the material waterproof?

No, the suede material is intended for grip and breathability, not as a waterproof barrier.

Does the touch screen capability work on all devices?

It is designed for most modern capacitive touch screens, though screen protectors may sometimes reduce sensitivity.

Troubleshooting

Touch screen not responding

Ensure the conductive thread on the fingertips is making direct contact with the screen and that your screen is clean.

Gloves feel stiff after washing

Gently work the suede material with your hands while it is slightly damp to restore flexibility as it finishes air drying.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-performance materials at a competitive price point
  • Excellent touch screen responsiveness
  • Secure and adjustable hook and loop fit
  • Comfortable suede construction for better handlebar feel

Cons

  • Lacks specialized heavy-duty impact padding
  • Suede material may require more intentional care than synthetic fabrics
  • Unisex fit may not suit those with very specific hand anatomical needs

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Fox Ranger Swarmer Gloves maintain their longevity, follow these care guidelines.

  1. Fit: Adjust the hook and loop closure to a snug but comfortable position. Ensure the cuff does not pinch the wrist during full range of motion.
  2. Cleaning: Due to the suede material, it is recommended to hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals that could strip the texture of the suede.
  3. Drying: Always air dry away from direct heat sources or intense sunlight, which can cause the material to stiffen or crack.
  4. Compatibility: These gloves are compatible with standard capacitive touch screen displays found on most smartphones and GPS cycling computers.
