Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Begin by unlacing the shoes completely. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back of the shoe.
- Adjust Fit: Starting from the toe, gradually tighten the laces, ensuring a snug but not overly restrictive fit across the top of your foot. Pay attention to the arch and midfoot area.
- Secure Knot: Tie a secure knot, ensuring the laces will not come undone during your round. A double knot can provide extra security.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for golf, suitable for a variety of course conditions, including firm fairways, light rough, and cart paths. Their spikeless design also makes them highly compatible for wear in the clubhouse or for general casual use, offering comfort and style off the greens.
Care
- Cleaning: After each round, wipe down the leather upper with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and grass stains. For tougher dirt, a mild leather cleaner can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: If the shoes become wet, remove the insoles and stuff the shoes with newspaper to absorb moisture. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight, which can damage the leather.
- Conditioning: Periodically apply a leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Follow the product's instructions for application.
- Outsole Care: Brush off any debris from the Traxion outsole to maintain optimal grip. Inspect for any embedded stones or mud that could affect traction.
- Storage: Store your golf shoes in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
