FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
While the Initiator features a runner-inspired design, it is best suited for casual wear and light movement rather than long-distance athletic training.
How do I choose the right size?
These trainers follow standard UK sizing for Nike men's footwear; it is recommended to purchase your typical size.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
It is not recommended to wash these in a machine, as the heat and agitation can damage the structural integrity and adhesives.
Is the material waterproof?
The materials are not waterproof. We recommend using a sneaker protector spray if you plan to wear them in damp conditions.
Are the insoles removable?
Yes, the insoles can typically be removed if you need to insert custom orthotics.
Troubleshooting
Creasing in the toe box
This is normal with wear. Use a shoe tree when not in use to help the material maintain its shape.
Surface stains on the grey fabric
Gently blot with a mixture of mild soap and lukewarm water. Do not scrub aggressively.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Nike Initiator trainers last, it is important to follow proper maintenance steps.
- Sizing: Ensure you have selected your correct UK size, as the fit is consistent with standard Nike athletic sizing.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush or damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the materials.
- Drying: Always air dry the trainers at room temperature. Keep them away from direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers to prevent warping or glue damage.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
