FAQs

What is ECONYL?

ECONYL is a type of regenerated nylon made from recycled waste like fishing nets and industrial plastic, which is depolymerized to create new, virgin-quality fabric.

Is the overshirt waterproof?

The garment is water-resistant due to the properties of the nylon material but is not designed as a waterproof rain jacket.

How should I wash this garment?

It is highly recommended to follow the specific instructions on the internal care label, typically involving cold water washes to preserve the integrity of the garment dye.

Can I tumble dry the overshirt?

No, it is advised to hang dry the garment in a shaded area to prevent heat damage to the synthetic recycled fibers.

Why does my shirt look slightly different from the product photo?

The unique garment-dyeing process means that every piece undergoes a slightly different color absorption, ensuring that your specific item is one-of-a-kind.

Troubleshooting

Fabric appears to have uneven coloring

This is a natural result of the double-dyeing process on recycled nylon fibers and is considered a characteristic of the garment rather than a defect.

Zip feels stiff

Gently rub a small amount of clear beeswax or a graphite pencil lead along the teeth to improve sliding performance.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

As this garment utilizes delicate garment-dyeing techniques, professional care is recommended. To maintain the structural integrity and the specific color finish of the Nylon Metal fabric, always follow the internal wash label instructions. Avoid harsh detergents or bleaching agents, as these can strip the pigment from the recycled fibers. When storing, ensure the garment is kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent potential color fading over long periods.
