Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
- Wall Preparation: Ensure walls are clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, grease, and old wallpaper. Fill any cracks or imperfections and sand smooth.
- Cutting: Unroll the wallpaper and cut panels to size, allowing for an extra 10cm (4 inches) at the top and bottom for trimming. Ensure you match the pattern repeat accurately between panels.
- Adhesive: Apply wallpaper paste evenly to the back of the wallpaper panel or directly to the wall, following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions. For non-woven papers, paste-the-wall is often recommended.
- Application: Hang the first panel, ensuring it is perfectly vertical using a spirit level. Gently smooth the wallpaper onto the wall from the center outwards, using a soft brush or roller to remove air bubbles.
- Trimming: Once the panel is in place, trim the excess at the ceiling and skirting board using a sharp knife and a straight edge.
- Subsequent Panels: Continue hanging subsequent panels, carefully aligning the pattern repeat with the previous panel.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is designed for interior walls. It is best suited for walls that are properly prepared and primed. Avoid applying in areas of high moisture or direct, prolonged exposure to sunlight, which could fade the colours over time.
Care:
To clean, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive water, as this can damage the paper and its finish. For stubborn marks, a very mild soap solution can be used sparingly, followed by a wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
