FAQs
Are these shorts suitable for swimming?
While the polyester material is quick-drying, they are designed primarily as athletic shorts and do not have an internal mesh liner like traditional swimwear.
How should I determine the right size?
The shorts use standard generic sizing. Measure the child's waist and compare it to standard sizing charts to ensure the best fit for the elasticated waistband.
Do these shorts have an inner lining?
No, these shorts are unlined, which keeps them lightweight and promotes better airflow during high-intensity activities.
Can the reflective details be ironed?
No, you should never iron directly over the reflective branding, as high heat can melt or deform the material.
Are they appropriate for cold weather?
These shorts are designed for breathability and are best suited for warm or temperate weather. They can be layered with compression leggings for cooler conditions.
Troubleshooting
Drawstring has slipped inside the waistband
Use a safety pin or a pair of tweezers to carefully feed the drawstring back through the eyelet.
Reflective branding showing signs of wear
Ensure the garment is turned inside out before washing and avoid high-heat tumble drying to protect the reflective coating.
Fabric snagging
Avoid contact with sharp, rough surfaces. If a small snag occurs, carefully trim the loose thread without pulling it.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Trailberg Kinetic Shorts, follow these care instructions:
- Washing: Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle to preserve the integrity of the synthetic fibers and reflective branding.
- Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If machine drying is necessary, use a low heat setting to prevent damage to the elastic waistband.
- Avoid Bleach: Never use bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the stretch properties and the reflective finish.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
- Compatibility: These shorts pair perfectly with moisture-wicking athletic tees or light performance hoodies, making them a versatile component of any child's active wardrobe.
