Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and read the user manual.
- Clean: Before first use, wash the carafe, filter basket, and lid in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Position: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface away from water sources.
- First Brew: Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line and run a brewing cycle with just water (no coffee) to clean the internal components.
Compatibility
- Power: Compatible with standard household electrical outlets (voltage as per regional standards).
- Coffee: Use medium-ground coffee for optimal results. Fine-ground coffee may clog the filter; coarse-ground coffee may result in a weaker brew.
Care & Maintenance
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits can build up. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water. Use a commercial descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water (follow product instructions).
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution/vinegar mixture.
- Run a half-brew cycle.
- Turn off the coffee maker and let it stand for 15-30 minutes.
- Complete the brew cycle.
- Run 2-3 cycles with fresh water to rinse thoroughly.
- Storage: Ensure the coffee maker is clean and dry before storing it. Store in a cool, dry place.
