Setup
- Charge the Printer: Before first use, fully charge the printer using the provided charging cable.
- Load Photo Paper: Open the paper tray. Ensure you insert the Zink photo paper pack correctly, with the blue quality card from the *same paper pack* at the bottom, barcode facing down. The blue card helps calibrate the printer for optimal color.
- Power On: Press and hold the power button to turn on the printer.
- Connect Wirelessly:
- Bluetooth: Enable Bluetooth on your iOS or Android smartphone/tablet. Search for the KODAK Step printer in your device's Bluetooth settings and pair. You may need to download the companion KODAK Step app for full functionality and editing.
- NFC: For NFC-enabled devices, simply tap your device to the NFC area on the printer to establish a quick connection.
- Print: Select a photo from your device's gallery or social media within the app, make any desired edits, and initiate printing.
Compatibility
The KODAK Step printer is compatible with most iOS and Android smartphones and tablets that support Bluetooth or NFC connectivity. Ensure your device's operating system is up-to-date for best performance.
Care
- Paper Handling: Always use genuine KODAK Zink 2x3 adhesive photo paper for best results and to prevent printer damage. Ensure the blue calibration card is used with each new pack.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, slightly damp cloth if needed. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the printer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Printing Slot: When printing, avoid covering the print slot with your hand to ensure photos eject smoothly.
- Battery: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the printer frequently. Charge it when the battery indicator is low.
