FAQs

Can this trim be used in wet rooms?

Yes, the PVC material is moisture-resistant, making it perfect for bathrooms, showers, and hygiene-sensitive areas.

What tools are needed to cut the trim?

A standard fine-toothed hand saw or a motorized miter saw with a fine blade will produce a clean, smooth cut.

Does the trim require mechanical fixings?

Typically, the trim is held in place using adhesive or silicone sealant specific to PVC cladding systems.

Can this be painted?

The trim is designed with a durable, hygienic finish; painting is not recommended as it may peel and compromise the hygienic surface.

What is the length of the trim supplied?

Each individual piece of AM Clad One Part Edge Trim is 3 meters in length.

Troubleshooting

Trim does not sit flush against the wall

Check for underlying debris or wall unevenness behind the cladding sheet and ensure the adhesive is applied evenly.

The trim is loose or rattling

Re-apply high-quality cladding adhesive or a bead of silicone sealant along the contact points to secure the trim to the panel.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation Steps:

Measure the length of the area requiring trim, such as a door jamb or window reveal.
Use a fine-toothed saw to cut the PVC trim to the desired length.
Apply a suitable adhesive or silicone recommended for hygiene cladding to the back of the trim or the substrate.
Press the trim firmly onto the edge of the cladding sheet to ensure a secure, sealed fit.

Compatibility:

This trim is designed for use with AM Clad PVC hygiene cladding systems. Ensure that the thickness of your cladding sheet matches the slot size of the trim before installation.

Care:

Clean the trim using a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive scouring pads that could scratch the surface and harbor bacteria.
