FAQs

Is this jacket fully waterproof?

It features a water-repellent finish, but it is not classified as fully waterproof. It provides protection against light rain and snow.

What type of insulation is used?

The jacket uses 100% recycled synthetic down, making it completely feather-free.

Can I wear this for intense exercise?

Yes, the high breathability rating of 15,000 g/m²/24 hours makes it suitable for active outdoor pursuits.

Does the hood detach?

No, the jacket features a grown-on (fixed) technical hood.

How should I wash the jacket?

Use a gentle machine cycle with specialized technical outerwear detergent. Avoid fabric softeners.

Does it have internal pockets?

Yes, it includes an internal zipped security pocket for valuables.

Troubleshooting

Water is no longer beading on the surface.

The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish has worn off. Re-apply a quality DWR spray treatment to the outer fabric.

Jacket feels less warm over time.

Synthetic down can clump after improper washing. Tumble dry on low heat with clean tennis balls to re-fluff the insulation.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent thermal performance with recycled synthetic insulation
High breathability rating keeps you dry during active movement
Stretch fabric allows for full range of motion
Integrated technical hood provides superior weather protection
Feather-free design is more ethical and easier to maintain

Cons

Water-repellent finish is not a full waterproof rating
Synthetic insulation can be bulkier than premium natural down
Requires specific care for the synthetic fibers to maintain loft

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your jacket, always follow the care label instructions. Because this garment uses synthetic down, it is recommended to wash on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent specifically designed for technical outdoor gear. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can degrade the water-repellent treatment and breathability membranes. If the water-repellent finish (DWR) stops beading, you can re-apply a spray-on treatment after cleaning. Always ensure the jacket is thoroughly dry before storing it in a cool, ventilated area to prevent moisture buildup in the insulation.
