Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Measure Your Dog: Use a flexible measuring tape to determine your dog's chest girth. Measure around the widest part of their chest.
- Select the Right Size: Refer to the size chart to choose the appropriate harness size based on your dog's measurements.
- Adjust the Straps: Loosen all four adjustment points on the harness. Place the harness on your dog, and clip the buckles. Adjust the straps to achieve a snug, but not too tight, fit.
- Check the Fit: Ensure you can slide two fingers comfortably between the harness and your dog's body. The harness should not restrict movement.
Compatibility
The Ruffwear Front Range Harness is designed to be compatible with most standard leashes. It can be used with any leash that clips onto a D-ring or carabiner. The harness also includes a loop for attaching a beacon light.
Care
- Hand Wash: Hand wash the harness with mild detergent.
- Gentle Cleaning: Use a soft brush or cloth to gently scrub away dirt and debris.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse the harness thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Air Dry: Air dry the harness away from direct sunlight or heat. Avoid using a machine dryer.
