Full details

The Sealskinz Barwick Split Finger Glove in Neon Yellow is designed for adult unisex users seeking durable, waterproof protection with enhanced dexterity. Its key benefit is providing warmth and grip in wet and cold conditions, making it ideal for cycling and everyday cold-weather use. A potential caveat is that split-finger designs might offer slightly less warmth than fully enclosed gloves for extreme, prolonged cold.

FAQs

Are these gloves truly waterproof?

Yes, the gloves feature three-layer Aquasealz technology, which is engineered to be fully waterproof while remaining breathable.

How do I determine the right size?

Refer to the brand's sizing chart, which typically involves measuring the circumference of your hand at the widest point. A snug fit is recommended for optimal dexterity and warmth.

Can I use these for activities other than cycling?

Absolutely. The split finger design and robust protection make them highly effective for various cold-weather activities like hiking, running, or general outdoor work.

How warm are these gloves?

They feature PrimaLoft® Gold insulation, known for providing excellent warmth without bulk. They are designed for cold conditions, but the split finger design might offer less warmth than full-finger gloves in extreme, prolonged cold.

What is the benefit of the split finger design?

The split finger design enhances dexterity, allowing for finer motor control needed for tasks like shifting gears on a bike, using a phone, or handling small equipment, without having to remove the glove.

How should I clean my gloves?

Wash them by hand or machine at 30ºC. After washing, allow them to drip dry naturally. Avoid using bleach, ironing, or dry cleaning.

Are these gloves suitable for very cold temperatures?

Yes, they are designed for cold weather and feature significant insulation. However, for prolonged exposure to extreme sub-zero temperatures, a full-finger glove might offer superior warmth.

Troubleshooting

Gloves feel damp inside after use.

This can happen due to internal moisture from sweat. Ensure the gloves are properly dried after each use by allowing them to drip dry. If they remain persistently damp, check that the outer fabric is clean and free of debris that might impede breathability.

Reduced grip on the palm.

Clean the PU suede palm gently with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or oils that may have accumulated. Ensure the gloves are fully dry before use.

Water is seeping through the fabric.

Check the outer fabric for any damage or wear. If the fabric is intact, ensure the gloves have been washed and dried according to care instructions. Persistent leakage may indicate a breach in the waterproof membrane.
