Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Unroll the rug completely and allow it to lay flat for at least 24-48 hours to help remove creases from packaging. If creases persist, you can try placing heavy books on the affected areas or gently rolling the rug in the opposite direction.
Compatibility:
This rug is suitable for most indoor floor types. For added safety and to prevent slipping, consider using a rug pad, especially on hard surfaces like hardwood or tile. It is compatible with underfloor heating systems, provided the appropriate rug pad is used.
Care:
- Vacuum Regularly: Use a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar or set the beater bar to its highest setting to avoid damaging the pile. Vacuum in the direction of the pile.
- Spot Clean: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild detergent mixed with water and a soft brush. Work from the outside of the stain inwards. Rinse the area with a damp cloth and allow it to air dry completely.
- Professional Cleaning: For a deep clean, professional rug cleaning is recommended periodically.
- Shedding: As with many tufted rugs, some initial shedding is normal. Regular vacuuming will help manage this.
