The Adidas Handball Spezial trainers are designed for style-conscious kids who value a blend of vintage 1970s aesthetics and modern-day durability. These trainers offer a reliable, grippy rubber cupsole perfect for active daily wear, whether for school or weekend outings. While they provide excellent comfort and iconic retro appeal, the suede upper requires more careful maintenance compared to synthetic or leather alternatives to keep them looking fresh.

No, washing these in a machine can ruin the suede material and affect the adhesive. Stick to dry cleaning methods.
While the rubber sole provides grip, the suede upper is not waterproof. It is best to avoid wearing them in heavy rain or deep mud.
These trainers feature a regular fit, which is generally true to size for standard children's foot measurements.
A damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap is usually sufficient to wipe clean the rubber cupsole sides.
The insoles are generally removable; if you require orthotics, they can usually fit inside by removing the factory-provided insoles.
Use a soft-bristled suede brush to gently restore the nap of the material and remove surface dust.
Adjust the lacing pattern to a 'parallel' or 'loose' style to reduce pressure across the top of the foot.
Allow the shoes to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources, then brush once dry.
Getting started with your Handball Spezial trainers is simple: ensure the laces are adjusted to your child's preference before the first wear to ensure a secure lockdown. For care, it is highly recommended to use a protective suede spray before the first outing to help repel water and dirt. If the shoes become dirty, use a specialized suede brush to gently remove dry debris. Avoid submerging these trainers in water or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the suede texture and colour integrity.
