Setup, Compatibility & Care
To prepare your jars, wash them in warm soapy water and dry them completely before the first use. While the glass jars are generally easy to maintain, the cork lids should not be submerged in water for long periods as they can become saturated and lose their seal integrity. To clean the cork, wipe it gently with a damp cloth and allow it to air dry thoroughly. These jars are intended for dry storage only and are not suitable for high-pressure canning or boiling water preservation. When closing the lid, press firmly and rotate slightly to ensure the cork creates a vacuum-like seal against the glass rim.
