FAQs
How often should I oil my sewing machine?
It is recommended to oil your machine after every few hours of use, or as specified in your machine's manual.
Where do I apply the oil?
Refer to your sewing machine's manual for the specific lubrication points. Generally, these include moving parts such as the needle bar, bobbin area, and gears.
Can I use any type of oil?
No, it is important to use sewing machine oil designed specifically for sewing machines. Avoid using other types of oil as they may damage your machine.
What happens if I use too much oil?
Using too much oil can cause oil to drip onto your fabric or attract dust and lint, which can clog the machine. Use only a few drops at each lubrication point.
How do I clean my machine before oiling?
Use a small brush or a soft cloth to remove any dust, lint, or thread scraps from the machine's moving parts.
What is the shelf life of the Hemline Sewing Machine Oil?
The shelf life is typically several years if stored properly in a cool, dry place. Refer to the bottle for the expiry date.
What do I do if oil spills?
Wipe up any spills immediately with a clean cloth to prevent staining.
