The Woof Wear Medical Hoof Boot is a close fitting medical hoof boot to keep wounds, poultices and dressings clean. It can be used for stable or turnout and is very durable, making it suitable for repeated use. The boot features a grooved sole for improved grip and a Kevlar® interior for durability. It has an asymmetric zip to prevent it from opening and to stop bedding and other debris from getting inside. Machine washable. Note: Not suitable for riding. To get the best out of your Medical Hoof Boot: Do not use the Medical Hoof Boot (MHB) in place of an overreach boot to prevent shoe loss. The MHB is not designed for this application and will not protect against overreaching. If your horse is inclined to overreach then an overreach boot should be used over the MHB to protect both the horse and the MHB from damage. Measure accurately to ensure a snug fit as a loose boot can be damaged if trodden on. This unique close fitting hoof boot from Woof Wear is designed to keep wounds, poultices and dressings clean and is suitable for use in the stable and on sensible horses in the paddock. Made from flexible and light materials for easy fitting, it is a cost effective alternative to adhesive bandage and tape. It is recommended that a large over reach boot is used over the medical hoof boot for turnout as it is not indestructible and can be torn if it is trodden on. We expect the boot to last 2-3 weeks under normal circumstances with many customers finding that they last much longer.
