FAQs
Are these boots suitable for artificial grass?
These boots are specifically engineered for firm ground (FG). Using them on abrasive artificial surfaces may cause premature wear.
How do I determine the right size for my child?
These are standard UK children's sizing. We recommend ensuring there is about a thumb's width of space at the toe for comfort.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the adhesive and technical materials. Please clean them by hand.
What is Powerspine technology?
Powerspine is a structural element in the midfoot that improves energy transfer to help generate stronger shots.
Are these boots unisex?
Yes, they are designed as a unisex model suitable for any young player.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel loose around the midfoot
Adjust the lace tension specifically at the midfoot area and ensure the floating tongue is centered before tightening.
Mud stuck in the traction plate
Use a soft-bristled brush or a blunt plastic tool to dislodge debris from the spaces between the studs after drying.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lightweight construction reduces foot fatigue during long training sessions
- Powerspine technology encourages better technique and shot strength
- Secure, adjustable lace-up fit caters to various foot shapes
- High-traction plate excels on firm natural grass pitches
Cons
- Limited to firm ground surfaces for optimal performance
- Requires proper maintenance to keep the mesh upper clean
- Not intended for use on extremely soft or waterlogged pitches
Setup, Compatibility & Care
For the best fit, ensure your child wears their usual football socks when trying on the boots to account for correct volume. Use the lacing system to tighten the midfoot for lockdown support. After each session on firm ground, clear any mud or grass clippings from the 'Strikeframe' studs to maintain traction. To clean, wipe the mesh upper with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid submerging them in water or using abrasive brushes, as this can degrade the synthetic fibers. Always air-dry the boots naturally at room temperature, keeping them away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the material.
