Full details

FAQs

Is this soap effective at removing waterproof mascara?

While it is a great daily cleanser, it is not specifically formulated for heavy, waterproof makeup. We recommend using a dedicated makeup remover first.

Can I use this if I have very oily skin?

This formula is specifically balanced for dry combination skin. Those with very oily skin may prefer the 'Oily Skin Formula' variant.

Does the refill come with a pump?

No, the refill is designed to be poured into your existing, empty pump dispenser to reduce waste.

How often should I use this cleanser?

For best results, use twice daily—once in the morning and once in the evening.

Is this product vegan?

Clinique is committed to transparency; please check the specific ingredient label on the packaging as formulations can evolve over time.

Troubleshooting

Soap does not pump correctly from the dispenser.

Check the tube length inside the bottle to ensure it isn't bent, or rinse the pump nozzle with warm water to clear dried residue.

Skin feels tight after washing.

Ensure you are using lukewarm water rather than hot water, as high temperatures can strip natural oils more aggressively.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Leaves skin feeling soft and comfortable rather than stripped
Fragrance-free and ideal for sensitive skin types
Large 400ml volume offers long-lasting value
Effective at removing daily buildup without harsh chemicals

Cons

Refill pouch does not include a pump mechanism
Requires an existing Clinique dispenser bottle for optimal use
Not intended for heavy makeup removal without a pre-cleanse step

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin using the refill, carefully transfer the liquid into your cleaned, dry Clinique pump dispenser. Ensure the dispenser is fully dry before refilling to prevent water contamination within the soap. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the formula. Because it is a fragrance-free product, it is compatible with most other skincare treatments and will not interfere with the absorption of subsequent serums or moisturizers. If the pump clogs over time, rinse the nozzle with warm water to maintain consistent output.
