Full details

Liquitex Super Heavy Gesso is a professional-grade acrylic primer designed to create an extra-thick, highly textured surface for painting. Its dense, opaque formula provides exceptional coverage and grip, making it ideal for building dramatic texture and preparing a variety of surfaces. This extra-thick consistency is perfect for creating textured surfaces with palette knives or brushes. It offers superior coverage, providing a strong, opaque base that enhances paint adhesion and color vibrancy. The gesso dries to a durable, non-brittle finish that resists peeling or cracking and works on canvas, wood, paper, and other primed or unprimed surfaces. It can also be tinted with acrylics for a custom-colored ground. This high-quality, non-fading, and ageing-resistant primer is suitable for acrylic paints or oil paints and can be easily applied with a brush or spatula. It is ideal for oil, watercolour, and tempera painting, giving a smooth, absorbent painting surface of the same texture. It is a ready-to-use universal primer for all acrylic paints on non-greasy surfaces like canvas, paper, stone, wood, and plaster.
