FAQs

Are these gloves suitable for winter riding?

The Fox Ranger MTB Gloves are lightweight and breathable, making them best for spring, summer, and autumn riding rather than extreme winter temperatures.

Can I use these gloves for road cycling?

Yes, their low-profile, flexible design makes them suitable for road cycling, though they lack the thick gel padding some road cyclists prefer.

Do these gloves protect against thorns?

While the nylon material is durable, these are not puncture-proof. They provide basic protection against trail debris but not heavy thorns.

How do I determine my size?

Measure the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles and compare it to the Fox sizing chart to find the best fit.

Can I wash these in a washing machine?

Yes, they are machine washable. We recommend closing the hook and loop fasteners and using a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.

Troubleshooting

Touch screen functionality is intermittent

Ensure the conductive threads on the index finger or thumb are making full contact with the screen and that the glove is pulled tight against the fingertip.

Gloves feel too tight across the knuckles

Verify sizing; if the fit is too snug, ensure the wrist closure is not over-tightened, which can pull the material taut across the palm.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent value for the price point
Lightweight and breathable design
Fully touch screen compatible
Secure hook and loop wrist closure
Practical built-in sweat wipe

Cons

Minimalist palm padding
Not intended for heavy-duty downhill impact protection
Hook and loop closures can wear out over long-term use

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the best fit, adjust the hook and loop closure to a snug but comfortable position around the wrist. The gloves are machine washable; however, it is recommended to fasten the hook and loop closures before washing to prevent snagging on other fabrics. To prolong the life of the conductive threads, air drying is preferred over high-heat tumble drying. The gloves are designed to be unisex and come in various sizes, so verify your hand measurement against the size guide before selecting your pair.
